Changes that were made to the MyCricket Registration module as part of the Junior Online Registration project has meant that the relationships between organisations has a much more defined way of operating. For context, each organisation in MyCricket must be classified as either a:
- State
- Region
- Other Affiliate
- Association
- Club
The changes have meant that only Associations are now able to create and manage competitions and that the child entities of an Association must be classified as a 'Club' for the purposes of representational cricket in order to manage/select teams and enter results.
For Representative Competitions;
- An association exists/is created for each Representative or Pathway competition.
- For each 'association team' playing in that competition, a 'club' is created for them and the relevant teams are administered in these clubs.
i.e. Sutherland Shire Cricket Association - Representative Teams below;
- The login details for these entities are created for the appropriate staff at each association to allow them to manage teams and participants; understanding that this would be a separate login than the one for the Association itself.
- Associations then transfer players to to the new 'club', and manually register senior players or manually register junior players to allow them to be selected in their representative teams (transfers allow the players to keep their roles at their community club).
For the administrator of Representative Competitions, when allocating teams to the grade, they will need to ensure to allocate the Representative Team entity;
*If you believe that a club entity needs to be created for your association, please contact your state representative, or contact MyCricket Support on mycricketsupport@cricket.com.au.
***Please note that Western Australian associations are not being set up with a 'club' entity as per the above. For further information/if your association is located in Western Australia, please contact Mark Sanders at mark.sanders@wacricket.com.au.
***Please note that not all South Australian associations are being set up with a 'club' entity. For further information/if your association is located in South Australia, please contact Seb Goldsmith at sgoldsmith@saca.com.au.
