How to maintain or change User Roles

Security features have been added to allow you to set up users with restricted access to Roles and Grades. This function is particularly useful for clubs with lots of teams and those with senior and junior participants.  For example, you could set up a Junior Coach account that only has access to junior players, and the Junior Grades.  The Grade restriction also simplifies menus by only displaying the grades users have access to, reducing the risk of accidentally entering the results for the wrong grade.

 

If you want to…

 

Then click…

 

Create a new user

 

Select Add New User to display the User Maintenance screen.

 

Modify an existing user

 

Click Edit next to the users’ name and details to display the User Maintenance screen

 

 

  • Complete the Login ID, User Name and Email fields as per onscreen instructions.
  • Apply the required roles to the user by clicking the corresponding checkbox in the Roles column.
  •  Select the Person Roles and Grades you wish the user to have access to via the Select Grades / Person Roles options (if appropriate)
  • Click Update in the Actions column to save the user details.

ROLE PERMISSIONS

Nb: To register for Insurance, the user must have Site Manager permission.

 

SITE MANAGER:

 

MyCricket Site related maintenance (e.g. Entity details, Site Menu, Preferences)

 

USER MANAGER:

 

Access to create and maintain other users. Warning - any user who has this role can effectively then grant themselves any other role.

 

CONTENT MANAGER:

 

MyCricket Website content related maintenance (e.g. create and maintain Html content, home page, News, Events, Slideshow Galleries)

 

RESULTS MANAGER:

 

MyCricket results related maintenance (e.g. clubs: results and scores update, associations: match confirmation, exception reports etc)

 

PERSON MANAGER:

 

Creation, editing, deleting of Players, Contacts, Umpires.

 

EMAIL SENDER:

 

Sending of email messages (exception: SITE MANAGER can also send Fantasy League messages)

 

SMS SENDER:

 

Sending of SMS messages and Ordering SMS credits

 

  

OTHER ACTIONS ON THIS SCREEN

There are several other options available in the Other Actions column:

Email Welcome Message

 

Re-sends the Welcome Email and attached “Getting Started Document”

 

Lock Account

 

Enables you to lock this user out of the system

 

Reset Password

 

Clears the existing password and sends the user a new system assigned password.

 

Set User as Principal

 

Assigns this user all the rights of the Principal User for this Club/Association. This will over ride the current Principal User.

 

Delete User

 

Removes the user profile from the system.
