Via the MyCricket Live Score app, scorers can now add an 'Unknown Player' before or during a match.
This gives the scorers the ability to immediately add a last minute fill-in player, even if they don't exist in MyCricket!
The scorer will have to enter the player's first name & last name, then score the match. After the match a MyCricket Administrator can choose to create a MyCricket account for the unknown player then swap the player after the match. Or, if the player already exists, they can immediately swap the player.
Follow the steps below to complete this process.
Step 1
Via the MyCricket Live Score app, navigate to the 'Team Selection' page and enter the player's name into the 'Last Name' & 'First Name' fields:
Step 2
Click the '+'. The player will now exist as a player in the team. You can now score the match as usual:
Step 3
Once the match result has been submitted. Navigate to the 'Team Selection' page on MyCricket Admin for the specific match.
Step 4
Once you have found the match click the 'Replace Players' link at the bottom of the screen.
Step 5
You will now be presented with a screen with 3 tables.
Unknown players:
These are the 'Unknown' players were just added to the match via the MyCricket Live Score app.
Known players:
Are players that were selected in the team for that match.
Available players:
Are the players that were eligible* to play in the match but weren't selected in the team.
If the fill-in player did not previously exist in MyCricket you will need to create a new player account (or transfer an existing one), assign them a role and they will need to be registered for the relevant association. Post this, they will appear in this table.
If you are swapping an unknown player (added via the MyCricket Live Score app), then click on the 'Unknown player' then the 'Available player'.
Step 6
Click 'Update'. Once the page has refreshed the stats associated to the 'Unknown Player' will now be attributed to the 'Available Player'.
*eligible - the player must have an active PLAYER role and be registered to the correct Association
If the player already exists in MyCricket they may require a clearance; please check with your Association.
