What is the KidSport Program?
KidSport enables eligible children aged 5 to 18 to participate in community sport and recreation by offering them financial assistance towards club registration fees of up to $150.
Who is eligible?
All Western Australian children aged 5 to 18 with a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card are eligible for KidSport.
How does the KidSport Program work?
KidSport applications are assessed by the local government in which the child resides or by the KidSport team. If an application is approved, the KidSport team will email you a voucher code (unique to the child). The code needs to be provided to the club when registering so that they approved amount can be deducted from the registration or membership fees. All voucher codes will expire in 90 days.
- For Junior Cricket
If you're a Club admin, you would need to therefore Create a Club Voucher and pass this onto the relevant participants who are eligible to use this in their Junior Cricket registration (please note that the club voucher codes will not cover the insurance component for a Junior Cricket registration and the insurance component will still need to be paid online). - For Cricket Blast Programs (Junior/Master Blasters)
There will be a National Code created specifically for these programs each season. WA Cricket will work with clubs in order to share this voucher code.
Clubs are advised to share this voucher code to eligible participants only; if you are a parent of a participant and are wishing to use a KidSport voucher for a Cricket Blast program, it is advised that you speak to your club directly who will then be able to assist in providing the code.
