General App Questions
Q. I just want to check my fixtures; do I need to log in to the App?
A. No, not at all. You can skip logging in by continuing as a guest, to access all the current features of MyCricket including fixtures, results, player stats, ladders, news and events.
Q. I can't click on one of my teammates to start a chat with them, why not?
A. If that person has an 'Invite' button next to their name, that means they have not yet claimed their MyCricket profile to start using Messaging. Tap 'Invite' to trigger an invite email to that person.
Q. Why am I seeing people from my old club?
A. You are seeing members from each club you currently hold an active MyCricket role with. If you no longer have an active role within the club listed, then please contact the club admin of your previous club to have this role removed from your profile.
Q. Can I invite people who are not in my club to chat on MyCricket, such as my friends and extended family?
A. No, not at the moment. MyCricket Messaging is available for registered MyCricket users only. Meaning, a person registered with MyCricket, with an active role with a club or organisation.
Inappropriate Comments
Q. What can I do if someone is posting offensive material or comments to a chat?
A. MyCricket Messaging should be a safe space for you to communicate with your teammates and team officials on all things cricket. If someone is misusing Messaging, we strongly encourage you to report any inappropriate activity by emailing MyCricket Support, mycricketsupport@cricket.com.au You can do this directly from a chat conversation by tapping 'Flag as Inappropriate' from the menu within the chat screen."
Notifications
Q. Can I turn notifications off for a particular chat?
A. Yes, you can select 'Mute' from the menu of the conversation, which will turn off notifications for that conversation. This will remain muted until you un-mute. Instructions on how to mute a group coming soon.
Q. Can I get push notifications for matches and news?
A. Currently the only push notifications in the MyCricket App are sent when a user receives a new chat message. We have plans to introduce push notifications for match updates, team selections and more, we are just getting started!
